CPR- Adult (3-1/2 hours)

For the person who only needs adult CPR training, this hands-on skills training prepares them to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. Adult CPR/AED is available in a 4-1/2 hour course with AED training included. Learn More


CPR - Child and Infant (4-1/4 hours)

Designed for those who care for children, either full time or occasionally, this course teaches participants how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children age 12 and younger. CPR - Infant is available separately as a 3-3/4 hour course that applies to infants up to 12 months; CPR - Child (3-3/4 hours) is available separately and applies to children between the ages of 1 and 12. First Aid/CPR/AED for Schools and the Community

One of our most popular courses, it is great for community needs. This course combines lectures, demonstrations and video with hands-on training and practice. Participants in this course learn to recognize and respond to emergencies including shock, cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, children and infants, heat and cold emergencies, sudden illnesses and poisonings. Additionally, participants will learn first aid for everything from cuts and scrapes to muscle, bone and joint injuries.

AED - Adult and Child

This course teaches individuals currently certified in CPR - Adult and CPR - Child how to safely use an AED to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Learn More

Sport Safety Training (6 1/2 hours)

The American Red Cross and the United States Olympic Committee have joined forces to develop an exciting coach for coaches who want to keep their athletes safe. This course covers sports-related injury prevention, first aid care and Adult CPR. An optional Child CPR component may also be taken. This course is a must for coaches, officials and parents of athletes. Learn More

Babysitter's Training (6 hours)

The Babysitter's Training course has a unique interactive, educational format that tasks youth, ages 11 - 14 years of age, with activities such as identifying safety problems around the house and yard and selecting age-appropriate toys and games for children in their care. Participants learn by doing. This format, along with the course video and an enthusiastic instructor, keeps the interest of the babysitters and provides a meaningful classroom experience. Learn More

Basic Aid Training (B.A.T.) (6 hours)

This course, which may be led by any responsible adult, introduces 8-10 year-olds to the emergency action steps, Check, Call, Care as well as to basic first aid procedures. An activity book with puzzles and games teaches children how to prevent injuries and what to do in an emergency.

First Aid for Children Today (F.A.C.T.) (10 - 14 hours)

The FACT Critter Clan leads kids, aged 5 - 8, through health promotion and injury prevention activities. Its environmental theme teaches safety in a non-threatening way. Topics include:

* Hygiene and health habits;
* First aid;
* Personal safety; and
* Injury prevention.

Pet First Aid

The American Red Cross can help you build your first aid skills learn what to do in an emergency situations until veterinary care is available. Dog First Aid and Cat First Aid are handy reference guides for cat and dog emergencies. Select chapters also offer dog, cat or pet first aid courses. Learn More

Emergency Response

This is a comprehensive course designed for training first responders. The course follows the 1995 US DOT First Responder National Standard Curriculum and meets ECC Guidelines.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

These course teaches students to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants, use an AED on an adult or child victim of cardiac arrest and use personal protective equipment to stop bloodborne pathogens and other diseases from spreading.

Administering Emergency Oxygen

This class gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to a victim of a breathing emergency using breathing devices, including resuscitation masks, bag-valve-mask resuscitators (BVMs) and emergency oxygen.

Preventing Disease Transmission

A two-hour training module for employers and employees who, while on the job, may be exposed to blood or other body fluids that could cause infection. Employers may offer this program as part of their compliance with OSHA regulations. Available in English and Spanish. Learn More

Swimming Lessons

Developed for children 6 months to 5 years of age, American Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents and children participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration and more. Once children can perform basic skills without parental assistance, they may begin Learn-to-Swim courses.
