Executive Director
Paige Roberts is the executive director of the Southeast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross, serving both Jackson and George Counties. This August 11th will mark four years in that position. Paige moved to Pascagoula January 1, 1993 to work in the Jackson County Bureau of WLOX-TV as a reporter/photographer. It was her first job after earning a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
Paige has also worked as the public relations director for Commissioner Curt Hebert, Jr. at the Public Service Commission. She taught journalism at Pascagoula High School for five years where she developed the broadcast journalism curriculum for the State of Mississippi Department of Education. Paige was the Director of Communications for the Pascagoula School District in 2003.
Paige is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula. She is also a member of the inaugural class of the Gulf Coast Business Council Masters Program. She is on the Board of Directors for the Pascagoula Rotary Club, and she serves on the Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds project committee at her son's school, College Park Elementary School in Gautier. Her son, Winston, is seven years old, and her son, Quincy, is three.
Shirley Phillips is the branch manager of the George County office in Lucedale, MS. Shirley is known for her award-winning smile and kind words. She's been running the branch office in George County since 2006. Shirley first became involved with the chapter during Hurricane Katrina response as a client services volunteer. She represents the American Red Cross on the Singing River Head Start Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Community Action Agency.
Shirley and her husband, Willie, both grew up in Lucedale. After raising three children in Los Angeles for 47 years, they retired back in their hometown. They are members of the First United Methodist Church in Lucedale. Willie volunteers for Habitat for Humanity.
